Topic:
Research two poets that we have discussed in class. Compare the influences that
shaped their works, the themes/literary elements that are present in their works,
and their writing styles which help to distinguish them. Cite examples from at
least two poems from each poet to demonstrate your findings. (A TOTAL OF
FOUR POEMS)
Sources:
1. Sources should include at least one book (not an on-line book) The other two
can be online sources. Students may have more than three sources, but no
fewer than three.
2. Incorporating sources – Sources must be correctly incorporated in the text of
the research paper using MLA style.
3. Works Cited – A Works Cited list should be attached to each student’s paper.
It is the last numbered page of the research paper.
MLA Style
1. MLA style must be used in all areas of this paper.
