How do single-parent households affect the growth of the African American child?

The assignment is to write a 10-15 page paper about anything pertaining to the African American Family, so I picked a random one with very few specific instructions.

1) Be sure to brief on the statistical aspect of the single-parent household. (amount, demographics, etc.)
2) I am the only white male in my Pan-African Studies class, so the paper must be addressed from that perspective. (Seriously)
