1. Complete the Assurance of Learning Exercise 1B, Steps 1, 3, and 4 on page 39. Step 4 is a SWOT Analysis. In addition to the three factors for each part of the SWOT, complete an analysis of your SWOT.
At a minimum, an analysis should always include what the matrix means, why it is important to the company, and what your factors mean to the company.
2. Write a Vision Statement and a Mission Statement for The Walt Disney Company (Assurance of Learning Exercise 2C, Steps 1-3, pages 57-58).
When writing your Mission Statement, be sure to include the nine components of a good Mission Statement, listed in the text on pages 51-52.
3. Independently develop an EFE Matrix for The Walt Disney Company (Assurance of Learning Exercise 3C, step 1, page 88-89) using the information presented in the Cohesion Case in Chapter 1.
You will need further information to develop this matrix and include 10 threats and 10 opportunities. In addition, write a thorough analysis of the EFE. At a minimum, an analysis should always include what the matrix means, why it is important to the company, and what your factors and numbers mean to the company. Utilize the resources discussed in week one’s exercise in addition to finding new resources.
4. Independently develop an IFE Matrix for The Walt Disney Company (Assurance of Learning Exercise 4D, step 1, page 129) using the information presented in the Cohesion Case in Chapter 1.
You will need further information to develop this matrix and include 10 strengths and 10 weaknesses.
In addition, write a thorough analysis of the IFE. At a minimum, an analysis should always include what the matrix means, why it is important to the company, and what your factors and numbers mean to the company. Utilize the resources discussed in week one’s exercise in addition to finding new resources.
5. Independently develop a SWOT Matrix for The Walt Disney Company (Assurance of Learning Exercise 6B, steps 1-3, page 204) using the information presented in the Cohesion Case in Chapter 1.

6. Independently develop a SPACE Matrix for The Walt Disney Company (Assurance of Learning Exercise 6D, step 1, page 205) using the information presented in the Cohesion Case in Chapter 1.

At a minimum, an analysis should always include what the matrix means, why it is important to the company, and what your factors and numbers mean to the company. Utilize the resources discussed in week one’s exercise in addition to finding new resources.
NOTE: Use example factors on page 179, and your matrix should be formatted like the example on page 181 and the graph on page 183.
