The Coaching Philosophy of Dr. Jack Ramsay
This is the assignment:
I was asked to write a 5 page paper of the coaching philosophy of Dr. Jack Ramsay. The paper is to discuss his philosophy of coaching AND how it affected the many players he taught. Dr. Jack Ramsay is best known for coacing the Portland Trail Blazers to a 1977 NBA championship.
All or part of the following can be discussed as his philosophy:
1) Let the player know they are appreciated
2) Cultivate a work ethic
3) Good communication
4) Learn from others
5) Maximize your opportunities
6) Set goals and succeed at the highest level
7) Learn to inspire confidence in others
