The topic is:

While many scholars argue that religion is quintessentially about the “Holy”, and a force for good in society, there are plenty of others who contend that religion is a “disease of language”; a “mental illness”, or the “opiate of the masses”—that is to say, fundamentally a force for ignorance, illusion, and exploitation. Reflect on this topic. With the help of two key thinkers in Religious Studies, and using one of the Abrahamic religions as a case study, make a cogent and persuasive case for one or the other position.
