The decision to release an inmate from prison early has been a much-debated topic for quite some time. Prepare a position paper about the issue of inmate early release. The purpose of a position paper or argument essay is to explain both sides of a controversy/issue and discusses why one is stronger or better than the other.
Explain your side on this issue and the opposing side; highlight the differences between the opposing views. Use solid reasoning and factual evidence to persuade the reader that your view is more valid or advantageous than the opposing view. Include an actual (real) example of a current event to illustrate
your position (document the source of the example; e.g.,Miami Herald)." The paper should be five (5) pages in length." APA format." There should be a separate cover page and reference page." The paper should contain an introduction, a body, and a conclusion. [Hint:The introduction states your thesis or the purpose of the paper. Organize your body paragraphs to include a main idea (use the outline as your guide), which is then developed or illustrated by support evidence.
