For this assignment, you are to do something similar to my example. For each of the "complex issues" Augsburg lists, you should list out at least three (3) disciplines that would be necessary to address these complex issues.

For this assignment, you are to do something similar to my example. For each of the "complex issues" Augsburg lists, you should list out at least three (3) disciplines that would be necessary to address these complex issues. For example, sociology (to address the way relationships are formed, maintained, and dissolved)
1.AIDS
2.Terrorism
3.Capital Punishment
What is a Discipline?
Why pick Interdisciplinary Studies as a major?
What questions are you still exploring in regards to disciplines?
What was new or surprising about the history of disciplines? How does the history of disciplines inform what we know/feel about disciplines today? What questions do you have concerning disciplines?
After reading William Raspberry's "College Majors Don't Matter” Article
Raspberry makes a case for why it doesn't really matter what major you pick in college. Do you agree or disagree?
Does Raspberry then think that college degrees have no value? How does he recommend that students pick a major then?
How does what Raspberry is arguing relate to Interdisciplinary Studies/a BID degree?
