What effects students’ school experiences and how do they deal with those challenges

A – Situation:
A school can be thought of as a culture. Like living in a village or other community, when students are together, the personalities and behavior of others influence their own personalities and behaviors. They also face the challenge of entering another culture. When encountering a new culture, students face the challenge of fitting in. That often involves crating a comfortable personal space. These challenges, finding a well-suited social group and creating a comfortable personal space, affect a student’s school life.
B – Problem:
A major part of a young person’s life revolves around school. As a teenager, high school tends to be the center of their lives. For them, finding social groups that fit their personalities and views on life can affect their school experiences. For many young people the next step is college life. The challenge for young people going away to college for the first time is living with someone they don’t know nor have never met. Young people address the challenges of fitting-in and finding a comfortable living space in different ways.

Prompt/Question: How do companies and advertisers attract consumers and market products to them?
A – Situation:
You are an athlete and have devoted much of your life to sports. You started as a child jogging every evening with your father and the family dog. In school your favorite thing was physical education class. As a high school student and as a college student you joined the cross-country running teams. With each year, you became more-and-more serious about running, and you wear a particular brand of running shoe that most serious runners wear. In addition, you like television programs and movies that tend to have young active characters. Advertises collect and use information about you and other consumers to market products through branding and product placement.
B – Problem:
How do companies and advertisers attract consumers and market products to them? There is so much competition between companies with similar products that it is difficult for companies to attract attention to their products or services. In addition, with increasing technology, people can skip or ignore commercials and other forms of advertising. In order to attract consumers and market products and services, companies and advertisers nowadays use branding and product placement.
