In the book “A World of Ideas” ninth edition by Lee A Jacobus, Karl Marx (p453) warns against globalism in the economy in part because it harms local industry and damages local styles and customs.
1.How would Robert Reich counter those fears? (513) Is it clear that Reich approves of the new economy he describes, or does he accept globalism as a form of economic evolution?
2.Would he be likely to agree with Andrew Carnegie (481) that the laws of competition and accumulation operate in the new economy at least as forcefully as they did in Carnegie’s time?
3.Does he in any way seem approving of Marx’s theories?
Treat this as a mini-essay. Construct a thesis statement, use at least one consistent method of development, a specific rhetorical strategy and adhere to one type of argument, to answer the questions.
